Nineteen of the Russian's 21 championships have been earned on hardcourt
A resurgent Medvedev claimed his maiden championship for over two years with success over Frenchman Moutet in the competition title decider.
The Russian, a former number one, has endured a difficult year, achieving just one win at the big events and suffering a meltdown at the New York tournament.
The player's unpredictability on the professional circuit - and struggles with his service game in especial - resulted in him falling of the top ten and eventually separating with former coach his previous coach.
Now training with Thomas Johansson and Goetzke, he has consistently improved in the last few weeks - peaking in a hard-fought three-set triumph over opponent Corentin Moutet.
It is Medvedev's initial championship after the Italian tournament and initial on a hard court after that period of the previous year.
Success also signifies Medvedev has won 21 titles at 21 different competitions.
"It's the first time I have attended a competition with my both daughters at once, so to secure a championship is particularly special," stated world number 14 Daniil Medvedev.
"This title is in dedication of my child my daughter, because the maiden victory I achieved when my child Alisa was born was for her."
The tennis star, the 2021 US Open champion, had lost his past six title deciders, featuring in that event previously this season.
Medvedev's retrieving play style and recurring emotional displays on the playing surface had caused some to wonder if his skill to play at the elite level was finished.
Yet the athlete has made changes in the last few weeks, making an effort to come to the net and play aggressively, reinforced by an improved serve.
He recovered from a deficit in the first set against the challenging Frenchman, winning 4 of the last five points to gain the advantage.
The pair swapped service breaks in the middle set before the challenger, bidding for his first ATP Tour title, seized the initiative to push for a third set.
He rescued 4 early chances in a close third set before Medvedev won the break to that score to secure the win.
Appropriately, Medvedev clinched the title with a shot at the net, with Moutet incapable to handle a shot after two hours and 38 minutes.
